About SHMA

Success Heritage Modern Academy

The school infrastructure was built on a two-acre campus at its permanent site Edjophe near Warri in Ughelli South Local Government Area Delta State, Nigeria. Success Heritage Modern Academy (SHMA) is registered as an educational establishment by the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Corporate Affairs Commission Abuja. SHMA holds institutional accreditation/approval by the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education Asaba Delta State. Academic activities started on the 18th of September 2018 with the approval to operate the schools listed below:

 

  • SHMA Nursery School
  • SHMA Primary School
  • SHMA Secondary School

Governance

The school board, school head teacher and management team responsible for the management of the school. They ensure the school culture and values are sustained and improved upon. The board is responsible for developing and setting strategic direction and oversees the finance while the head teacher and management team are responsible for the school resources as well as curriculum development and monitoring of the pupil/student development and continuous improvement/achievement.

The board is responsible for:

  • Holding the school head teacher for the internal organizational management of the school system as well as the implementation of the school strategic plans.
  • Holding the school head teacher responsible for pupil safety and protection.
  • Monitoring staff condition of service, parent interest, and pupil behavior.
  • Ensure Health Safety and environment is guaranteed.
  • Ensure spiritual, moral standards, social and cultural development is achieved
  • Ensure a rewarding system in place for pupil/student efforts and achievements
  • Ensure the relevant statutory requirement are met and policies and procedure are in place.
  • Responsible for meetings at least once in a term to review its performance.
